I was weeping beneath the expansive sky.

When a single tear fell like the dew,
it lingered as I fought the sadness.

As the moon held out its gateway of light,
my misty eyes were caught in a moonbeam.

In my moment of loneliness,
the setting sun waited carefully
for me to smile again.

The day, ashamed for my sorrow,
hoped that night could offer joy.

I worry about the days to come.
My thoughts of darkness weigh me down.

My star has become harder to see.
Today, I feel unworthy of its beauty.

If I would laugh today, it could rise again.
